There are some good suggestions here. Although it’s difficult to do any of this stuff during a depressive episode, getting up and getting moving really does make a difference. For me, the biggest challenge is isolating when I’m depressed. I don’t want to see anyone or do anything. But isolating only fuels my depression and reinforces negative attributes that include social anxiety and low-self esteem. I try to take small breaks and then keep moving. Rest when you need to, but don’t give up. You’re too important.
